CLASS EXPERIENCE


Wear comfortable shorts, tights or sweats and top. Bring extra layer for deep relaxation pose.

It’s best to wait at least 2 - 3 hours after a meal or 1 hour after a snack before practicing yoga.

Drink plenty of water well before class starts. Having a closable water bottle in class is fine. No other drinks or food in the main studio. Thank you.

Show up before the class start time to sign and settle in; the teachers are there 10-20 minutes in advance.

Turn off your cell phone before coming into class; leave belongings in the entrance.

Please refrain from wearing fragrances of any kind; some people are allergic to them.

4. YOGA FOR … FLEXIBILITY: Yoga helps to improve flexibility and mobility, increasing range of movement and reducing aches and pains. Many people can’t touch their toes during their first yoga class. Connect deep within through various forms of meditation. We begin with a integrative meditation technique (modern form of Yoga Nidra), wherein you are guided into a state of deep relaxation; sometimes self inquiry during the practice helps guide one to personal insights. This is followed by a simple breathing technnique, which further concentrates the mind; then chanting, sitting & walking meditation. A guided meditation focusing on the evenings theme will conclude the gathering. Meditation is deeply healing. Drop-in for $13. Not for Unlimited passes nor regular class coupons

 

***Meditation - Shambala tradition
This gathering is for folks to meditate together; the class is structured into sitting, walking meditation and time for discussing a contemporary text that supports meditation practice.
